Al-quran, Surah An-Nisa, Aayat 4 : 64

 Bismillah Rahman nirahm.

Allah's purpose is sending messengers to the world is nothing but that the messengers be obeyed by Allah command.

Allah is the creator of the law and this law is conveyed to the people through messengers.

If a nation doesn't obey the messenger, then Allah destroys such a nation.
Like the people of Noah and the people of Loth and the people of Samud etc.

When these people disobeyed Allah and the messengers by obeying the disbelivers. This is the reason for the oppression of their lives.

If these hypocrites had repented to the messenger and asked for forgiveness for their disobedience.
And they used to ask Allah for forgiveness and the messenger also used to ask Allah for forgiveness for them.

So the forgiveness of these people was certain. The messenger prayers was a blessing for them.
And Allah would accept their repentance.
Because Allah is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful.
