Al-quran, Surah An-Nisa, Aayat 4 : 106
Bismillahi Arrahmaniarraheem.
O Muslims, Allah commands you to always seek His forgiveness. Due to this, the impurities of your hearts are cleaned.
Indeed, Allah is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful.
You should seek forgiveness from Allah in such a way that you should feel regret and shame for what you have done wrong in
past.
And to give up these sins completely in the present.
And a promise to Allah not to commit sins in the future.
Always asking for forgiveness from Allah brings blessings in sustenance and health, and attains higher and higher ranks in the Heaven.
Wherever you wronged your life due to committing a sin.
So there is no no need to be disappointed because Allah has kept the door of repentance and forgiveness open until the death of a person.
The spirit of all duplications is in asking for forgiveness.
So we should seek forgiveness from Allah through patience and perseverance.
Some time Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam used to ask Allah for forgiveness a hundred times in a single people meating,
He used to say like this.
O my Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance.
You are the Most Accepting and the Most Merciful.
